When does the free trial end?
The free trial lasts 30 days. PTC will notify you by email one week before the trial ends. Once the trial expires, you’ll need to activate Pay-As-You-Go to continue translating.
Do you accept credit or debit cards?
Yes. We process payments through Stripe, so you can pay securely using Visa, Mastercard, and other major credit or debit cards.
Do I need to provide a credit card to start the free trial?
No, you don’t need to provide a credit card or any payment method to start your free trial. You’ll only need to add payment details when you’re ready to activate Pay-As-You-Go.
How is Pay-As-You-Go pricing calculated?
The more you translate, the lower your per-word rate becomes. For example:
Can I stop using PTC anytime?
Yes. There’s no subscription fee, and with Pay-As-You-Go, there’s no commitment. You’re only charged for what you translate, and the first 500 words are free each month. If you translate less, you pay nothing.
You can also deactivate Pay-As-You-Go anytime from your Billing & Payment page, and reactivate it when you need it again.
Can I set a safety limit to control translation costs?
Yes. PTC includes a translation approval limit. By default, the limit is set to €50 per translation job and €100 per month.
Any translations estimated to cost more than this won’t run automatically. Instead, you’ll receive an email where you can review the cost and approve or deny it before it runs.
You can adjust these limits to any amount, or disable them entirely, from the Billing & Payment page in your PTC dashboard.
